Galaxies Away

Through boredom and lack of interest in completing a due assignment, I decided to paint something. I bought out my acrylic paints and some paper and sat and stared at it for a while, hoping by some miraculous event a stroke of genius would arise and I'd create a Van Gogh master piece within seconds. For about an hour my mind seemingly struggled like a small child trying to reach candy off the top shelf, but to no avail did my mind reach that epiphany I was hoping for. In a frustrated fashion I began to paint my nails with the acrylic paint, first a layer of black that mirrored my mood. Next thing you know, I've painted an entire set of mini galaxies on my nails; a masterpiece in itself! Well, not really, but it looked pretty cool anyway.

How to paint Galaxy Nails:

  1. Undercoat with black, let it dry
  2. Using your finger or a sponge, dab on a streak of white
  3. Before white dries, dab on blue and a little bit of red, mixing a little together to make purple and leaving some areas straight blue. don't leave white showing, its just an undercoat to brighten colours.
  4. After colours are dry, take an old toothbrush and flick on white paint for a starry effect
  5. When dry, you can add on glitter if desired
It only lasted me a day, it might be worth a shot putting a clear varnish over the paint if you want it to last longer.
